It’s important to take a little time out each day to recharge the batteries.
I enjoy being productive or spending time in the company of good people. But after too long I zone out, not actually present in the moment with the task in hand or people there. I’ve especially noticed this the last few days during this period of hot weather, trying to do too much and rushing around.
Being overworked and stressed triggers an inflammatory response in our bodies that has been associated with many diseases. Therefore, taking the time to switch off and downshift for as little as 15 minutes a day can turn the inflammatory response into an anti-inflammatory one.
