“Yes” and “No”

Two words. Five letters. Simple answers. Why is it so difficult to say these answers without unnecessary elaboration?

I don’t think social media helps us in this way. We can appear to be “Active” all day, and yet choose not to answer people when they ask us questions. This appearance of constant presence can cause frustration.

If people have time to be online, don’t they have time to answer?

I think this pressure can lead us to use excuses and too many words when all we simply need to hear is a “Yes” or “No”. We don’t want to upset or offend people, but in the worry of finding the right words to say we end up ignoring them. This can cause more tension and so there’s an easy, honest solution.

Answer simply. Simply answer.
