Life’s Too Short

It sounds very cliché. But walking past a care home yesterday and seeing the old people sat out enjoying the sunshine made me realise that one day, God willing, I’ll live to that age.

I’ll no longer have the gift of youth, to be able to go where I want, with who I want to. I’ll go from independent to dependent on others. It’s so easy to get caught up in the little stresses of life and forget that we’re only here for a blink in time.

When zooming out and looking at my life from that perspective, all the arguments, annoyances and stresses fade away. Life’s too short to live in hatred, anger at others or fear of them.

I’m trying to live more with this perspective.
