Today is both World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day.
In 2018, 495 homeless women and men died isolated and alone. Of those people, 13% of them took their own lives.
It’s said that 1 in 4 people experience mental health problems in any given year.
On this day of awareness day for two very real issues in our society, I have just two thoughts for us all.
Are those people we see suffering hard to reach or just easy to ignore?
What can we do to help our sisters and brothers who are suffering on the streets and those we know who are suffering with their mental health?
