It’s said that time heals everything.
But the fact is that we need to do something with that time, otherwise we are just running from our pain.
I know I can just try to ignore past hurt and pretend to let things go, but if I’ve not processed what has gone on, then I’m nowhere closer to moving on than when the hurt first happened.
We must sit with our pain for a time; allowing all the feelings and emotions that come with that, before choosing to carry it with us and let it shape who we want to become.
