“The biggest problem we run into is going, ‘This is who I am, this is what I’m like, this is how I function’ while failing to notice that you don’t do that anymore.”  Neil Gaiman

I think we as people struggle with change. One of the things that used to frustrate me at school when people fell out or argued was the line:

“You’ve changed”

And it would often be used as an insult. We don’t like to think we’ve changed or see those we care about change.

The fact is, that as each day goes by, we are all changing and evolving whether we like it or not, admit it or not, or even see and acknowledge the change. We can spend our time unaware how fast things are moving and then suddenly we stop and ask ourselves “what happened?“. It can be strange, frustrating, even hurtful.

But when we don’t take time to invest in those around us or let time pass and things go, we mustn’t suddenly call out “You’ve changed” in anger or sadness.  This change is reality and so we can resist it or influence it.

What will you do today to invest in or allow this evolving in yourself and those around you?
