Winter teaches us to wait. There is falling (and death) throughout the Autumn and Winter months that makes it difficult to see growth and change. We are surrounded by darkness a lot of the time: shorter days, less sunlight, more time spent indoors spent wrapped up and out of the cold. We don’t “see” much life.

But even in these times of apparent darkness and silence, life continues its cycle. When we look at Nature, it shows us that things have to “fall” before they can rise to new life in the Spring. We learn to be patient during these difficult times.

Has something happened in your life during the past few months that is demanding patience or moving towards new life?
