During the last few weeks of cold and wet weather, I’ve found it hard to motivate myself to get back into uni work.
My friend’s grandma wrote these words in a card: “Spring is on its way”. She’d noticed how those she encountered seemed to be constantly complaining about the weather and it all seemed quite dismal.
Please, here this right. I’m not trying to trivialise this time of year for those who are suffering, particularly those who experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). But difficult moments will pass and new life will come around as the seasons of our life change.
There is wisdom in Brenda’s words. “This moment” we’re going through will not last forever and we will be okay.
We all need to be reminded to hope.
