A few weeks ago, I was working as a Language Ambassador at a uni open day and spent time talking with parents and their children.
You notice things in the way people ask questions. There may be a preamble. They may be direct. They may answer their own question in asking and actually just want to be prove their point.
We can learn about others by listening. A question tells us many things:
What do you fear?
What are your hopes?
What are you passionate about?
What questions do you need to ask today?
