I was eating a bag of crisps yesterday and after finishing them, I sat looking at the empty packet for some time.
They weren’t always this small, were they?
A quick internet search told me that in Britain, there is a trend of reducing crisp sizes without reducing the prices.
The packet I demolished was 20g. And half of the bag was just air!
Like crisp packets, we can try and keep squeezing things smaller, cheaper and with less effort in our lives. We can be stingy in our work and with the people we serve, but how far will this get us?
It may save us a little bit of time, money and hassle in the short term, but in the long term?
One day we might end up with no crisps left in the packet – no trust and no Others.
