I get stressed when I come home to messy bedroom. There’s evidence to suggest it can even impact the quality of our sleep.
A messy room can be symptomatic of other issues, but I think it can be a helpful metaphor for the rest of our lives too.
If we can’t keep the space we spend a third of our lives in, how can we expect to be in control of the many changing aspects of our lives?
First things first, make your bed and tidy your room. Tidy room, tidy mind is what my housemate constantly told me last year.
When we’ve tidied, we can concentrate and focus. We can control one of the few things in our lives and use that as leverage.
Do you need to tidy your room today?
