Photoshoot

Some friends wanted their pictures taking recently. They got ready and dressed up very nicely. The following “photoshoot” took over 10 minutes. The angles, lighting, legs all had to look perfect.

When we see photos of ourselves, we don’t seem to look at them the way others do. We can’t seem to look at ourselves holistically. We sometimes see the “good bits”, but often only focus on our flaws.

It’s great to capture memories with photos or enjoy photography as a hobby.

But when we’re only taking photos of ourselves to put them on social media and see how many likes we get, we’re image crafting.

We’re valuing our beauty by the number of likes others give us.

Who do you take photos for?
