I’ve not ran for a long time. When I finally went for a run the other day, I was reminded why I find it so fruitful.
Ron Clarke is quoted as saying that “the hardest step for a runner to take is the first one out of the door” and this has rung true for me over the past few weeks. I’ve forgotten to make time for my physical health. It’s silly because I know physical health has a large impact on mental health and vice-versa.
That run last week was the reminder I needed to make time to exercise my body. It’s easy to neglect, but it made such a difference on my energy levels throughout the day and my sleep. It’s a choice. And I know I’ve been choosing to not create time for it.
Easy to do, easy not to do.
Is there something in your life you need to make time for to benefit your health and well-being?
