Often, we allow one small event to “ruin” our day.
Something unexpected might happen that impacts us and we give it the power to ruin our days.
It’s a choice. An easy one to make because these things can be very painful. But we still allow them to spoil the time we have each day; from when we wake up and until we go to bed (often, later because we can stay awake worrying and thinking about this one event).
But do we acknowledge when this event passes?
Yes, it’s happened and the thoughts and feelings linger. But the event comes and goes. It happens.
A ruined day is a choice in how we respond to our experience of the world. Just as much as a “made day” is.
