Running Forwards

I really enjoy running. Since the new year, I’ve been getting back into it as my last run was in October. I’ve only usually run about 5km. I used to do it to keep fit for playing football and do cross-country on a Friday lunchtime at school. But since then, it’s only ever been a part time hobby.

My girlfriend and I have set ourselves the target of doing a 10k by the end of February.

I don’t think I’ve ever run further 7km. But last weekend, we did it. It felt great. We were proud of the achievement.

We all need goals to motivate us. We’re told they need to be SMART. We need to count our personal successes and celebrate what we achieve to move us forwards.
