Engineering Our Days

I’ve written about the importance of taking ‘A Day Off’ before.

But as vital as this is, it might not always be possible if people are working overtime, weekends or long shifts.

Instead, it might be necessary to engineer the day in a way that still allows for ‘Me Time’. Without this, we will soon be exhausted and burnt out.

Sometimes, that might be as simple as taking an hour for lunch to go out for a walk. It might be waking up half an hour earlier to pray, meditate, journal, exercise, etc.

With our lives increasingly busier and our days filled with more obligations, appointments, meetings and things to do, we must carve out time for ourselves.

How do you engineer your day?

Do you find that you have time to do everything you want to do?
