Recently, I’ve been trying to not allow myself to get so stressed when things go wrong during the day. I’ve been finding it hard to manage my anxiety and sometimes, it can only take something trivial to go wrong and stress me out.
One thing I’ve been finding useful is trying to decide early whether something is going to ‘work’ or not. It might be my laptop crashing. It might be being unable to join a Zoom seminar. It might be the internet not working.
It’s hard because I know I can easily go down the ‘Slippery Slope’ and it’s hard to recover from the anxiety attacks.
But deciding early to simply stop what I’m doing and do something else has prevented me from getting caught up trying to ‘fix’ things that just aren’t going right for me in the day.
What do you find helps you manage your anxiety and stress?
