I was recently listening to the Tim Ferriss Show podcast episode, in which he interviewed Jordan Peterson.

They discussed resentment as a destructive emotion.

Peterson proposed that resentment is dangerous because either, you are being oppressed by someone, and therefore resent that person as an oppressor, or you resent someone for a trivial reason and are therefore immature.

I thought it was an interesting perspective and made me reflect on the times in my own life when I’ve felt resentment.

They concluded that resentment can act as a guide. It shows you the areas in your life you need to improve. My resentment has something to teach me.

What do you think of resentment?
