I recently wrote a blog about making the same mistakes over and over again.
It can be painful to witness this and we might have a desire to help.
However, we may also make these same mistakes ourselves. We might have been there in the past and it was painful for us, so we don’t want others to experience that same pain.
We should not shame others or ourselves for these mistakes. Shame doesn’t help anyone.
Instead, we should offer ourselves to listen, not judge. Perhaps, we might also offer support, but I still wonder whether we should give this when it’s not been solicited. (What do you think?)
We’ve all made mistakes and will probably make them again in the future.
Do we give ourselves and others a second chance and the benefit of the doubt?
